Our Level 2 Introduction to Sea Kayaking is our most popular course, designed as a stepping stone for those eager to develop the skills needed to plan their own kayaking trips. With our outstanding sea kayaking destination, each day of the course offers a unique and unforgettable experience.
We tailor each course to meet the needs and aspirations of the group
However, a typical Level 2 course will include
- How to choose safe and effective launching and landing sites
- Personal skill development and efficient paddling techniques
- High-quality, individualized coaching and feedback
- Rescue and emergency procedures
- Weater planning and navigation
- Paddling as part of a group, including how to assist a friend in difficulty
- Essential equipment: what to bring and how to use it
- Each day, your coach will guide you to different sections of the coast, showcasing areas you might not have had the confidence to explore on your own. Our exceptional location provides the perfect setting for these memorable experiences.

Is This the Right Level for Me?
This course is perfect if you’re looking for an adventure and want to dive into the world of sea kayaking. No prior kayaking experience is required, though it will be most enjoyable if you’re in average physical shape and comfortable in the water. At the end of the course, a rolling course is recommended
2-Day vs 4-Day Courses
Our standard 2-day course is packed with essential information and expert coaching to help you develop new skills and gain valuable knowledge. You’ll have the chance to enjoy classic sea kayaking around the beautiful island of Vulcano.
On our 4-day course, you’ll dive deeper into the world of sea kayaking. You’ll plan trips and launch from a variety of remote locations around both Vulcano and Lipari. Each day offers a unique experience that you’ll remember for years to come.
This course is highly practical, with plenty of time spent out on the water. Aeolian Islands offers some of the most inspiring sea kayaking in the world, and during the course, you’ll plan trips through this stunning environment, all while developing your skills and knowledge. Along the way, you’ll likely encounter wildlife and have the opportunity to rest on one of the beautiful beaches during your tour.
